Incentives and Foreign Trade Zone

Firestone presently handles approximately 50,000 tons of rubber through the port’s warehouses. This is all domestic rubber that is delivered to the port by rail for distribution via rail and truck to facilities in Canada, North Carolina and other destinations.
This terminal is located on the right bank of the Calcasieu Lake bypass channel 2.0 miles above the mouth of Black Lake Bay in Cameron Parish. The terminal will provide two LNG ship berths.
L’Auberge Lake Charles Casino Resort, a Pinnacle Entertainment property, opened on Memorial Day Weekend of 2005. The facility is located on Port of Lake Charles land at the mouth of Contraband Bayou off I-210 at Nelson Road. The riverboat casino is the largest single-deck riverboat of its kind in the world and the only single-deck riverboat in the state. The vessel is 225 feet wide and 330 feet long, with an approximate gross gaming area of 48,490 square feet, including 60 table games and over 1,600 slot machines.
Dynamic Industries, Inc., a privately owned company headquartered in New Iberia, has evolved over the last twenty years to become one of the leading fabrication and related field services companies serving the upstream and downstream sectors in the energy field. Dynamic Industries, Inc. has over 2000 employees, working in excess of 4,500,000 man-hours per year, domestically and throughout the world. dii is currently operating and executing projects in Nigeria, Angola, Venezuela and Trinidad. In order to further increase its existing resources to support the oil and gas industry and the active refinery expansion sector, Dynamic Industries, Inc. entered into a long term lease to develop a fabrication facility in Lake Charles, which is expected to create 600 new jobs.
Dongsung International, Inc., is well established as a world leading force in the development and manufacturing of many types of insulation, specializing in Cryogenic insulation. The Lake Charles facility caters to the cryogenic industry and aspirations of the USA based LNG companies along with the full range of traditional insulation materials and service, such as hot, cold, personal protection and acoustics.
The $700 million hotel and casino features 740 luxury hotel rooms and suites; an 18-hole championship golf course; a world-class spa; extensive retail options; an 18,000 square-foot ballroom; 30,000 square feet of meeting space; a one-of-a-kind pool; private beach front and marina; and a number of Landry’s signature restaurants. An innovative casino floor featuring 70 table games, a state-of-the-art poker room, and 1,600 of the world’s newest slot machines redefines the gaming experience across the industry.
Magnolia LNG is an LNG export project, with four liquefaction units (trains) and will produce more than 8 million metric tons per year of LNG. The project is located on the Industrial Canal’s Turning Basin. Magnolia LNG will receive natural gas through an existing Kinder Morgan Louisiana Pipeline. The gas will be treated, liquefied and stored onsite. The LNG will then be loaded onto LNG carriers for export overseas; LNG carriers and barges for domestic marine distribution; and LNG trucks for road distribution to LNG refueling stations in Louisiana and the surrounding states.
McDermott (Chicago Bridge & Iron Company), a state-of-the-art module fabrication and assembly facility, anchors 300 acres of Port Property at Big Lake and Lincoln Roads. Shaw’s module fabrication facility produces structural, piping and equipment modules for new nuclear power plants. At full capacity, the facility employs 1,400 or more workers.
Southern Union Trunkline Company leases land from the Port of Lake Charles. Approximately 3,500,000/5,000,000 tons of liquefied natural gas are imported yearly from Algeria. In 2005, the facility expanded its capacity and leased additional property from the Port. Annual tonnage received at this facility is expected to double over the next five years.
