You can now look for our interactive Port exhibit at the Children’s Museum of SWLA, located at Port Wonder on the Lake Charles lakefront. This partnership allows for exploration through the role play of work we do every day — importing and exporting cargo around the world. It is our mission to present an understanding and insight into our local and global service through the art of learning and play.

We believe that true knowledge can begin with fun. Join us at Kids Port located inside the Children’s Museum in the city’s new Port Wonder facility.
The Kids Port exhibit can be found in the City Gallery — an interactive, kid-sized area where children can learn about the workforce and culture of Southwest Louisiana. It’s a hands-on look at the Port of Lake Charles and the Calcasieu Ship Channel. Activities include Port Watch, Exporting and Importing Goods, and the interactive Port.
The activities include role play in different career paths, including work at the Port.
