Here is the current information on Lake Charles Harbor and Terminal District operations:

  • CITY DOCKS, BULK TERMINAL 1, ALL MAINTENANCE DEPARTMENTS: All continue to operate to provide normal services for all tenants with the implementation of a rotating work schedule.
  • ADMINISTRATION: The Port of Lake Charles’ administration building remains closed until further notice in order to help prevent contact and exposure to the coronavirus. Essential administrative employees have been equipped with remote connectivity in order to continue daily administrative functions and services to the extent possible.
  • HARBOR POLICE, TWIC GATES: All are open and operating as normal.
    “The Port of Lake Charles’ top priority is the health and safety of our employees, customers, stakeholders, crew and community,” Port Executive Director William J. Rase said in a statement today.
    “We continue to work with state, local and federal officials, including the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and U.S. Coast Guard, to ensure our policies and procedures meet and exceed guidelines,” Rase said. “The Port of Lake Charles is prepared to meet these challenges with the safety and health of our community at the forefront.”
